Mammograms Fail
Fifty percent of the time mammograms fail to detect cancer in dense breast tissue. The Mayo Clinic did a study and found that an MRI -- magnetic resonance imaging or molecular breast imaging raises the detection rate to 86%. Mammograms can be harmful and are not that effective. Ask your doctor about alternatives like an MRI.

Avoid Teflon
Nonstick cookware like Teflon emits dangerous, poisonous fumes when exposed to high heat. The chemicals used in the manufacturing of nonstick cookware can lead to cancer. These substances are highly toxic to the body. For your health's sake, get rid of your nonstick pots and pans and use glass or ceramic (lead free) or an old-fashioned iron skillet.
